The Rolex Date model is a bit more under-the-radar than the iconic Datejust models, but it’s not to be underestimated. This reference 1501 is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date with a bit more character, thanks to the engine-turned bezel (also known as 'Thunderbird' bezel) that adds a bit of pizzazz to the otherwise quietly elegant design. The Silver dial is still crisp and has the beautiful sunburst finish that reflects nicely under various lights, adding an extra dimension to the dial. The Rolex symbol on the clasp has unfortunately been polished off but can confirm it to be genuine and original.
